There will be plenty of tickets available at the gates on the day - and don't forget that the price of your admission ticket goes towards the charities that the Fair is supporting this year. Visitor Information

Opening Time

The Fair is open from 9.00am - 5.00pm.

Find Us

The Castle postcode is DT9 5NR. Once in the vicinity of Sherborne please look out for the blue directional road signs which will direct you to the car parks. The Find Us page has further details. There is ample free car parking. Alternatively, you are welcome to walk or cycle.

Tickets

Tickets are available on the day, at the gates. Payment can be by cash or card and all major cards are accepted.

Show Programmes

These will be for sale on the day (at the entrances) and will give timetables, details of attractions and sponsors, a show map, list of trade stands and information which we hope you will find useful for planning your day.

Cash Point

An ATM for cash withdrawals is located next to the Show Office, overlooking the Main Ring.

Features and Attractions

There are a variety of attractions at the Fair; some are free and for some there will be a charge.

Food

Food stands are located around the showground offering a variety of food and drinks. Alternatively you are very welcome to bring a picnic and seating/picnic benches are available.

Parent and Baby Facilities

Baby and toddler feeding and changing facilities are available. You will find the tent next to the Show Office, overlooking the Main Ring. A discrete area for breastfeeding, along with changing mats, hand gel, nappies/wipes/bags for disposal and hot water.

Lost Children

The lost and found point is next to the Show Office, overlooking the Main Ring.

First Aid

The First Aid post is located near to the Silent Auction tent. Roving patrols will also be on duty across the showground.

Toilets

Temporary toilet units, including disabled, are situated throughout the showground.

Lost Property

Lost and found property is collected and recorded in the Show Office, overlooking the Main Ring.

Dogs

The Fair welcomes well-behaved dogs and responsible owners. Dogs must be kept on short, fixed leads and owners are expected to clean up after their animals. Restrictions to some areas/marquees may be in place, eg, food or livestock areas. Please do not leave your dog in your car. There is a dog show and a scurries competition and both can be entered on the day.

Disabled Visitors

Adult disabled visitors must pay for their own entrance ticket but are entitled to one free entry for a registered/full-time carer. Please have your supporting documentation with you in case you are asked to show this to the ticket checkers. Children 16 and under do not qualify for a free carer ticket.

Disabled Facilities - Vehicles for Change

A Vehicles for Change will be available at the Fair with hoist, adult-sized changing table and everything else that you would expect to find in a fully accessible toilet. Please bring your own sling if you wish to use the hoist. The Vehicles for Change is located next to the pedestrian gate at the front of the disabled parking area in the main car park.

Please note that whilst the Vehicles for Change attendant will know how all the unit equipment works and may advise on its use, they are not available to offer any personal care to users of the facilities. Thank you.

Disabled Parking and Access

Disabled visitors can park in a designated area at the front of the car park. Please have your blue badge clearly displayed in your front windscreen (or have a passenger hold it up) so that the car parking staff can direct you to the front of the car park.

Disabled visitors can access all areas of the Fair. On entering the showground please take a moment to study the site map to determine the most suitable routes around the Fair for your particular needs.

Mobility Scooters

Near the entrance and disabled parking you will find Wheels for Freedom, where you can hire an electric mobility scooter or wheelchair for the day (available between 9.00am and 5.00pm).

Scooters cost approximately £15.00 each if pre-booked online. Wheelchairs are £10.00 each and must be pre-booked. Both also require a traceable form of identification. To make a booking please go on-line: Wheels for Freedom.
